Hi. My name is Martha Bowden. My personal naturalist mission statement is described below.
I just graduated from the Central Arkansas Master Naturalist program in May 2008. In looking for a volunteer project, I needed one that was challenging, about nature and with rising gas prices, close to home. I became webmaster for the CAMN website in May as one of the ways I was going to earn my volunteer hours. After doing that for just one month, I knew there had to be more ways to reach people. My sister suggested I start a blog about CAMN and link it to our website.
My mission is to learn about blogging and building a great website for CAMN. With these outlets, I hope to be able to connect with others about Arkansas and nature. I want to acknowledge the accomplishments of Master Naturalists in Arkansas while encouraging members to look outside their own window and let us see their view.

Good personal mission statement, Martha. We should all probably think about creating our individual mission statement. I’ll have to think about mine.
Thanks Bert for the encouraging words. My parents were all about setting goals in life to mark your footsteps and I thank them for that. And remember, small goals change with the wind as we are blown in different directions while our mission statement remains strong like a tree.
